About Us
Cepeacecode started with the name NETWORK FORUM in 1996 as a group of people who are concern and trained by USAID/OTI in the area of Peace Management in Taraba state at a time when the state was engulf in ethno crisis in Wukari and Sardauna local government
areas. We were trained to step down to communities’ leaders to identify early warning signs, formed Peace Committee and for the communities to mitigate in any crisis within their localities.
Before the name change from NETWORK FORUM to Center for Peace Education and Community Development (cepeacecode) in 2010 and register by Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). Cepeacecode now have 4 paid staff, 6 part time management
team with over 35 volunteers across the state.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Establishment of NGO’s. Organizing/participating in land mark events such as international volunteer’s day, stand up campaign, ONE Campaign, DKF for NYSC/MDGs & SDGs/NYSC Participation in the formulation of Taraba state State Strategic Policy. Participation in the formulation of National Peace policy. Participation in the formulation of National Gender policy. Formulation of Taraba state Development Plan(SDP).
